Investment performance

We treat our clients as individual investors and agree a performance benchmark with each and every one. This benchmark can be unique to their fund or portfolio.

Rather than illustrate the success of our approach using bland historical data, we can provide a selection of accurate performance histories, using the rules covering Global Investment Performance Standards. Each one is a ‘composite’ of client portfolios with similar investment objectives and demonstrates our performance against meaningful, easy to understand benchmarks or agreed peer groups. In fact, we suggest caution on the use of performance data and are always happy to help clients and prospective clients to assess accurately their investment performance in a context that is more appropriate than the norm of the industry.

Real and perceived economic conditions ultimately drive investment markets, but there is sufficient scope in our approach for superior individual stock selection to show through in performance. This is reflected in the track record enjoyed by each of our clients.
